Disney’s latest movie, Mufasa: The Lion King, introduces Aaron Pierre as the voice of young Mufasa.

A New Chapter for Mufasa
Mufasa: The Lion King tells the story of Mufasa as a cub. The plot follows his meeting with Taka (later known as Scar) and the events that shaped their relationship.
The movie uses a mix of live-action and CGI animation, similar to its predecessor.
Aaron Pierre voices the adolescent Mufasa, while Kelvin Harrison Jr. voices Taka.
The story unfolds through Rafiki’s narration, introducing audiences to a younger version of these beloved characters.
Aaron Pierre on James Earl Jones’ Legacy
Aaron Pierre shared his admiration for James Earl Jones in an interview. “James Earl Jones is the top of the mountain. He inspired my portrayal of Mufasa and my life,” Pierre said.
Despite playing a younger Mufasa, Pierre felt the weight of the role. “I wanted to honour the character and show his journey to becoming the wise king we know,” he added.
