Mix of modern and classic sounds
The tracklist combines contemporary Southern hip-hop with older pop, rock, and synth-heavy classics. Artists such as Kodak Black, Sexyy Red, and Lil Wayne represent the modern street sound, while Phil Collins, Def Leppard, and Depeche Mode bring a nostalgic 1980s and 1990s radio feel.
Electronic and dance influences are also present, with Aluna & Jayda G and Elderbrook & Bob Moses adding a club-focused sound that matches Vice City’s nightlife and coastal environments.
Regional identity through music
Rockstar also continues its focus on regional authenticity. Florida-inspired hip-hop, particularly Kodak Black’s Skrilla, anchors the game in modern Southern culture. Latin and Caribbean influences, including Se Me Nota (Agarrame) by Chimbala and Omega, reflect the game’s Miami-inspired setting.
