Rap superstar Remy Ma is stepping into a world of terror and psychological suspense. She takes the leading role in a dark new Lifetime thriller titled Don’t Trust the Girls Upstairs. The movie is based on the bestselling novel My Sister’s Daughter by author Liv Constantine.
The newly released trailer gives a terrifying first look at a family torn apart by deception. The story centers on Ashley Preston, played by Remy Ma, whose life changes forever after the sudden death of her estranged sister.
Hoping to do the right thing, Ashley and her husband welcome their orphaned niece, Serena, into their home. However, this act of kindness quickly turns into a living nightmare. A series of deeply disturbing incidents begins to haunt the household.
As fear grows, Ashley realizes someone in her home is hiding a deadly secret. She must determine if her grieving niece is dangerous, or if her own daughter is the one orchestrating the terror. Trust completely disappears as the family unravels.
Ashley is forced into a desperate race against time to uncover the truth. She must unmask the psychological killer in her home before the hidden danger becomes fatal.
The intense thriller also stars Garfield Wilson, Aliyah Marc, and Sasha Rojen. Don’t Trust the Girls Upstairs premieres on Lifetime on Saturday, June 20, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
