Netflix is turning up the suspense as it drops the teaser for Wednesday Season 2 today, April 23. After the major success of Season 1, fans can expect a darker and more thrilling story at Nevermore Academy.

The show returns with a new cast lineup, deeper horror themes, and surprising new characters — including global pop icon Lady Gaga.

Filming for Season 2 wrapped in Ireland in December 2024. Despite rumors of a move to another platform, Netflix confirmed the show will stay on its platform.

Jenna Ortega is back in the lead role as Wednesday Addams, and this season, she also steps in as a producer. Her return marks a shift in tone, as she confirmed that the show will move away from romance and dive deeper into horror, mystery, and action. Ortega says fans can expect a more mature and intense journey.

The returning cast includes Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley. Steve Buscemi joins as Nevermore Academy’s new principal, and Lady Gaga will appear in a new role that is still under wraps.

Plot details are still being kept secret, but it’s confirmed that the story will pick up from where Season 1 ended. Viewers will see the return of Tyler in his Hyde form, a new principal stepping in, and the mystery of Wednesday’s stalker continuing to unfold. New characters like Bruno, Karloff, Wolfgang, and Annie will play key roles in the evolving narrative.

Along with the teaser, Netflix also revealed the official poster, featuring a gothic Wednesday with smeared makeup and Thing on her shoulder. The haunting message reads, “The wait has been torture.”

Wednesday Season 2 will premiere in two parts — Part One on August 6 and Part Two on September 3, only on Netflix.
