Marvel Studios has finally unveiled the first look at The Leader, a classic Hulk villain, in the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World.

The new promotional art showcases Tim Blake Nelson reprising his role as Samuel Sterns, sporting a comic-accurate green skin and an oversized forehead as his villainous alter-ego. His live-action debut will see him alongside Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk, as both characters challenge Sam Wilson’s Captain America.

Nelson’s return to the MCU has been long-awaited. Originally set to appear in The Incredible Hulk sequel, The Leader’s story was sidelined after Marvel Studios struggled to produce another solo Hulk film.

Nelson expressed his excitement over the character’s return, saying, “Being brought back into the MCU… has been a great honor.”

In Brave New World, The Leader’s role remains unclear, but it’s speculated that he may have a hand in the creation of Red Hulk. Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus Ross undergoes a superhuman transformation into Red Hulk, adding another layer of complexity to the plot.

The film, set to hit theaters next month, also features Giancarlo Esposito as Sidewinder, the leader of the Serpent Society, marking yet another Hulk-related villain in the mix.

While Brave New World is a Captain America film, its heavy focus on Hulk lore promises a thrilling adventure for fans of both heroes and villains.
