Sydney Sweeney has spoken openly about her split from fiancé Jonathan Davino, confirming she is now single and enjoying her independence.

In a new interview with The Times published on May 31, the 27-year-old actress said she and Davino ended their engagement, which they announced in February 2022 after dating since 2018. When asked if she is planning a wedding, Sweeney simply answered, “No.” When asked if she is single, she replied, “Yes.”

“I’m learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it,” she told the publication.

A source previously told People that the couple’s relationship had been “rocky for a long time” and that Sweeney felt overwhelmed by wedding plans. The insider said the actress is now fully focused on her career and excited about upcoming projects, including a new season of Euphoria and several film roles.

“She’s not ready to settle down,” the source added. “They didn’t split because there is no love. She just wants to focus on her career right now.”

Despite the breakup, Sweeney and Davino have been seen together occasionally as they work through their shared living arrangements.

Sweeney has kept her personal life mostly private over the years. In a 2023 interview, she said she prefers dating outside the entertainment industry to maintain normalcy.

She also shared what she looks for in a partner: “I need to be able to be with someone who I can literally hang out with 24/7 and never get sick of, and we laugh every single day.”

Now single and focused on her work, Sydney Sweeney appears to be embracing this new chapter with confidence.
