Netflix is bringing Matt Damon and Ben Affleck back together for their 11th collaboration, a crime thriller titled RIP, set to premiere in Fall 2025.

Directed by Joe Carnahan (Smoking Aces), the film is inspired by real-life events and echoes classic ‘70s cop thrillers like Serpico and Heat.

    What’s RIP About?

The story follows the Miami Tactical Narcotics Team, which has been waiting for justice after their captain’s murder remains unsolved for six weeks.

Acting on a tip, the team raids a cartel stash house, expecting a routine bust—only to uncover millions in cash. As greed and paranoia take hold, trust within the team fractures, while outside forces close in.

    Who’s in the Cast?

    • Matt Damon & Ben Affleck lead the cast
    • Steven Yeun (Beef, The Walking Dead)
    • Kyle Chandler (Bloodline, Friday Night Lights)
    • Teyana Taylor (A Thousand and One)
    • Scott Adkins (John Wick 4)
    • Nestor Carbonell (The Morning Show)
    • Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace)
    • Lina Esco (S.W.A.T., playing Captain Jackie Velez)

    Production Details

    • Filming took place from October to December 2024 in Los Angeles, including Long Beach.
    • The film is produced by Artists Equity, Damon and Affleck’s studio.
    • This marks their second Netflix collaboration, after the upcoming Animals.

With its gritty premise, an all-star cast, and a director known for high-energy thrillers, RIP is shaping up to be a must-watch. Will you be tuning in?
