Mackenyu, who plays Roronoa Zoro in Netflix’s live-action One Piece series, has shared his plans for the future. The actor, known for his roles in other live-action anime adaptations, is fully committed to the role of Zoro and has no intention of leaving anytime soon.

In a recent appearance at Comic Con Brussels, Mackenyu was asked about his future in the series. He replied that he wants to “finish One Piece first” before considering any other iconic anime roles.

He even joked, “There’s like 50 more seasons to go… so when I turn 70, I’ll retire playing Zoro.” This shows how much Mackenyu enjoys playing the character and how dedicated he is to the role.

The live-action One Piece series has been a success, with many fans praising the first season. As the second season is being filmed, Zoro will face new challenges, including battles against Baroque Works. Fans can expect more exciting action scenes, with Zoro’s sword skills taking center stage.

The One Piece anime has over 1,100 episodes, and the live-action series still has a long way to go. While it’s unclear how much of the anime will be adapted into live-action, Mackenyu’s comments suggest he’s ready to stay with the series for many years to come.

The success of One Piece has also sparked interest in other live-action anime adaptations. Projects for Naruto, One-Punch Man, Voltron, Mobile Suit Gundam, and My Hero Academia are currently in development. Fans are hopeful that these series will reach the same level of success as Netflix’s One Piece.

As Mackenyu continues his journey as Zoro, fans are excited to see where the live-action series will go next. With many seasons ahead, it looks like Zoro will be around for a long time.
