The teaser for Black Panther 3 is finally here, but instead of excitement, many Marvel fans have one big question: What happened to Shang-Chi 2?
Marvel has confirmed that Black Panther 3 is in development, which is great news for many. However, some fans are frustrated that Shang-Chi 2 has been left waiting.
A user on social media, Hashbrown4, said, “This is a real tragedy. One of their best new potential film franchises post-Endgame left to rot.” Another fan, Obskuro, added, “It’s hilarious that we’ll see Trevor Slattery again before Shang-Chi.”
At this point, Shang-Chi 2 is still planned, but there is no confirmed release date. Meanwhile, Marvel seems focused on Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars. These movies could set up Shang-Chi’s return, but fans had expected a sequel much sooner.
There is also some confusion over what “in development” really means. Some believe it just means Marvel is considering ideas rather than actively making the film. This uncertainty is adding to fans’ frustration.
