Robert Downey Jr. and Marvel Studios have hinted at more actors joining Avengers: Doomsday, adding to the 27 cast members already revealed.
After a major livestream event, Downey teased, “That’s what you call a deep bench of talent… actually, it’s more like a row, but an extra long one.”
Marvel’s official account responded, “There’s always room for more,” confirming that additional casting announcements are on the way.
More Marvel Stars Could Join the Film
While filming has already begun, some major MCU actors are notably missing from the confirmed cast list. These include Chris Evans, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Pratt, Mark Ruffalo, Ryan Reynolds, and Jeremy Renner.
Scarlett Johansson is unlikely to return due to Black Widow’s fate in Endgame, and there’s still no confirmation on Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch.
X-Men Legends Returning
Several original X-Men actors will appear, including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Alan Cumming, and Kelsey Grammer.
However, big names like Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, and Anna Paquin have not been announced. Channing Tatum, who will debut as Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine, has been confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday.
More Announcements Coming Soon
Marvel Studios has not revealed when the next cast updates will be announced, but their secrecy suggests surprise reveals could happen later.
With filming already underway, fans can expect more details to emerge as production continues.
