WWE has made an exciting announcement about Alexa Bliss ahead of tonight’s SmackDown in Memphis, Tennessee.
After a two-year break, Bliss made a spectacular return as the 21st entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match this past Saturday.
Tonight, WWE confirmed that Bliss will compete in a qualifying match for the Elimination Chamber against Candice LeRae.
This match is one of the key events of SmackDown, as Bliss looks to secure a spot in the upcoming Elimination Chamber.
The announcement was made through a video featuring SmackDown announcers Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore, who hyped up the action for tonight.
“And how about the reaction last week at Royal Rumble when Alexa Bliss returned? That was unbelievable! She is back in singles action tonight, in a qualifying match, it comes against Candice LeRae,” said Tessitore.
Also on tonight’s show, Bianca Belair will face Piper Niven in another Elimination Chamber qualifying match. The Royal Rumble winners, Charlotte Flair and Jey Uso, will also appear.
Uso recently had a confrontation with World Heavyweight Champion Gunther on WWE RAW, while Flair had a promo with Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley as they both navigate their paths to the World Championship at WrestleMania.
