Canadian streamer Félix Lengyel, better known as xQc, has been named Streamer of the Decade at the Esports Awards 2025 in Riyadh.

The award, decided by fan votes, recognised Lengyel’s influence over the past ten years. He beat out well-known competitors including Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Imane “Pokimane” Anys, Shroud, Ibai, and Tyler1.

xQc first rose to prominence as a professional Overwatch player before moving into full-time streaming in 2018. Known for his high-energy variety broadcasts, he has become one of the most-watched figures on Twitch, amassing billions of viewing hours. His $70 million non-exclusive deal with Kick in 2023 marked one of the biggest contracts in streaming history.

Peers and fans celebrated the win on social media. Fellow streamer Trainwreckstv wrote on X that xQc “risks his life and health every day streaming… well deserved,” while one fan praised his adaptability, saying he could learn games “in an hour that others take days or months.”

The Esports Awards, marking its 10th anniversary, highlighted a decade of achievements across 14 categories. League of Legends was named Esport Game of the Decade, while South Korean organisation T1 won Team of the Decade.

The event, part of the Esports World Cup’s “Summer of Celebration” in Saudi Arabia, drew both praise and criticism, but xQc’s award was seen as the highlight of the ceremony. Many fans hailed him as “a pioneer of our time.”
