As Rockstar Games remains tight-lipped about GTA 6, 2025 could bring some crucial updates.
The game, still targeting a Fall 2025 release, has had no news since its December 2023 reveal, but key dates could mark potential announcements.
Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, often releases big news around their quarterly earnings reports.
While no updates have come in the last three quarters, there’s speculation that the first earnings report of 2025, expected around February 9th, could bring news on GTA 6.
This could include a trailer, screenshots, or even a delay to 2026. If delayed, investors would need to be informed soon to adjust earnings forecasts.
2025 might mark the final year of major updates for GTA Online on GTA V. With the “Agents of Sabotage” DLC still to be released, Rockstar will likely have their usual Summer update, followed by a potential Winter update if GTA VI is delayed.
Several Rockstar titles are exiting subscription services in 2025. GTA V and GTA Online will leave PlayStation Plus by the end of May, and GTA San Andreas will remain on Netflix until further notice, after GTA Vice City and GTA III were removed in November 2024.
Unlike Rockstar, Remedy is transparent about their development. Expect updates on the Max Payne 1&2 Remake with Remedy’s financial reports.
Their next update is expected on February 2nd, with further reports scheduled for March 10th and April 30th.
