The Devil Wears Prada 2 has emerged as the most-watched movie trailer of 2025, pulling in an estimated 181.5 million views worldwide within 24 hours, according to industry tracking data released at year’s end.

The trailer, released in October, reunites Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway and quickly went viral across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels. Analysts say nostalgia, star power, and strong social media sharing helped push it far ahead of competitors.

Disney dominated much of the list, with live-action remakes and animated sequels drawing massive attention. Superhero and franchise films also performed strongly, showing that established brands continue to drive online engagement.

Below is the full list of the top 10 most-watched movie trailers of 2025, based on 24-hour global view counts.

Full List: Most-Watched Movie Trailers of 2025 (24-Hour Debut)

    1. The Devil Wears Prada 2 — 181.5 million views
    2. Moana (Live-Action) — 161.2 million views
    3. Lilo & Stitch (Live-Action) — 149.4 million views
    4. The Fantastic Four: First Steps — 144.1 million views
    5. Toy Story 5 — 133.6 million views
    6. Avatar: Fire and Ash — 127.6 million views
    7. Zootopia 2 — 125.6 million views
    8. The Odyssey — 121.4 million views
    9. Michael (Michael Jackson biopic) — 113.9 million views
    10. Wicked: For Good — 113.0 million views

While sequels and reboots made up most of the rankings, one standout was The Odyssey, a big-budget adaptation of the classic epic, proving original takes on familiar stories can still compete.

Industry experts say trailer views have become a key indicator of early audience interest, especially as studios rely more heavily on social platforms to build global hype ahead of release.

With many of these films set for release in 2026, studios are hoping the early surge in trailer views will translate into strong box office performances in the months ahead.
