Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are reportedly set to end their Spider-Man journeys in the upcoming Marvel film Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduled for release on May 7, 2027.

The film, which will serve as the finale of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Multiverse Saga, is expected to bring back both actors alongside Tom Holland as the trio of Spider-Men.

The three previously shared the screen in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), which grossed nearly $2 billion worldwide. Fans praised their on-screen chemistry, with Maguire and Garfield’s characters mentoring Holland’s Peter Parker.

According to insiders cited by sources including The Cosmic Circus, the story may revolve around a multiversal threat, possibly involving Doctor Doom, with some reports hinting at a tragic outcome where their universes could face destruction due to incursions.

While Marvel and Sony have not officially confirmed these details, industry sources suggest Maguire and Garfield’s roles could be emotionally impactful, drawing comparisons to the scale of Avengers: Endgame.

The film is also rumored to feature other legacy Marvel characters, including Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, making it a major event for fans. Social media reactions have been mixed, with excitement over the reunion tempered by the prospect of saying goodbye to two beloved Spider-Men.

As anticipation builds, Avengers: Secret Wars promises to be a landmark moment in the MCU, concluding one chapter of the Spider-Man saga while setting the stage for the next.
