The highly anticipated Season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty is set to debut sometime in summer 2025, as confirmed by the show’s showrunner, Jenny Han.
The coming-of-age drama on Amazon Prime Video will continue the story of Belly, played by Lola Tung, as she navigates the ups and downs of young love after her freshman year of college.
Season 3 will adapt Jenny Han’s third book, We’ll Always Have Summer, and promises more emotional twists and turns.
Han shared the release window on Instagram, teasing fans with a glimpse of a Christmas-themed set and the caption, “Canโt wait to spend Christmas in Cousins with you guys this summer.”
This marks the first official mention of a release window for the new season, which was previously only teased as “2025.”
Filming wrapped up in August 2024, so fans can expect the new season nearly a year after production finished.
Han has also promised that Season 3 will be packed with action and drama, stating that there will be “no filler episodes”. Fans can expect to see all the iconic moments from the third book, along with some surprises.
While a specific release date remains unknown, it is likely to follow the release pattern of previous seasons, which premiered in June and July.
This means Season 3 could arrive as early as June 2025, with a trailer expected around April or May.
