The film was released on Netflix on December 22, 2023, and received generally negative reviews from critics. A sequel, “Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver,” was released on April 19, 2024, and also received negative reviews. An R-rated director’s cut is scheduled to be released on August 2, 2024.
