Showrunner Eric Kripke announced that the critically acclaimed series “The Boys” will conclude with its fifth season.

The news comes ahead of the Season 4 premiere, bringing a mix of emotions for fans. Kripke had been aware of the final season’s fate since writing Season 3 and plans to wrap up the story with eight episodes in 2025.

The show has spawned spinoffs, including animated anthology “The Boys Presents: Diabolical” and live-action series “Gen V.” Kripke believes these projects can continue, focusing on other characters while the main storyline concludes.

Discussions are underway to incorporate Jared Padalecki from “Supernatural” into Season 5, with Kripke seeing himself as a five-season storyteller.

Fans can look forward to the final chapter of this groundbreaking series in the coming months.
