‘The Batman: Part II’ to Begin Filming in 2026 Without Director Matt Reeves

There is a major update about The Batman: Part II. The movie is now expected to start filming in London in March 2026.

However, director Matt Reeves is no longer attached to direct the sequel. He will stay involved as the screenwriter.

Reeves directed and co-wrote the first Batman film starring Robert Pattinson, which released in 2022 and was a big success.

He had planned to direct a full trilogy. Now, due to personal matters, he has stepped back from directing the second movie.

Warner Bros. is still moving forward with the project. The main cast — including Robert Pattinson, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright, and Colin Farrell — is expected to return. The sequel will continue the story from the first film.

The Batman: Part II was originally set to release on October 2, 2026. The release date has now been pushed to October 1, 2027.
