Ryan Coogler’s new supernatural thriller Sinners has taken the global box office by storm, earning $61 million during its Easter weekend debut.

The film opened to an impressive $45.6 million in the United States and Canada, while collecting around $15.4 million from international markets.

Set in 1930s Mississippi, Sinners follows the chilling story of twin brothers who run a juke joint and encounter mysterious supernatural forces.

Michael B. Jordan stars in dual roles and also serves as a producer alongside Coogler, continuing their successful creative partnership.

The film has received strong audience feedback, earning a near-perfect 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an “A” CinemaScore, indicating both critical and viewer approval.

In India, Sinners earned an estimated ₹2.18 crore (approximately $260,000 USD) over the weekend, contributing to its growing international footprint.

Meanwhile, A Minecraft Movie continues its run and secured second place with $41.3 million globally this weekend, bringing its total to over $720 million.

With a compelling original story and standout performances, Sinners proves that audiences worldwide are still eager for fresh, gripping cinema beyond established franchises.
