Sabrina Carpenter Might Ban Phones at Concerts for a Better Fan Experience

Sabrina Carpenter is thinking about banning phones at her future concerts to create a more immersive experience for her fans. The singer shared the idea after attending Silk Sonic’s 2022 Las Vegas residency, where phones were locked away.

She said that show gave her the best concert experience she’s ever had, making her feel like she was “back in the Seventies,” with everyone focused on the music and dancing together.

While Carpenter admitted that banning phones might upset some of her fans, she said she’s willing to take that risk. “This will honestly piss off my fans, but absolutely,” she said.

Carpenter explained that while she understands fans wanting to record memories, she prefers when audiences are fully present in the moment. Joking about the future, she added, “Right now, my skin is soft and supple. It’s fine. Do not zoom in on me when I’m 80 years old up there.”

If she moves forward with the idea, Carpenter will join artists like Bob Dylan, Adele, and Madonna, who have also banned phones during their shows to help fans connect more deeply with the live performance.

For now, Carpenter is still planning her future tours, but her message is clear: she wants her concerts to be about music, not screens.
