White Vision

After a long absence, Paul Bettany’s White Vision is making a comeback in Marvel Studios’ upcoming What If…? Season 3, set to release on Disney+ on December 22, 2024. This marks the character’s first major appearance since WandaVision concluded three years ago.

A Glimpse of White Vision in What If…?

The newly released trailer for What If…? Season 3 offers fans a brief look at White Vision. Highlights include:

  • A confrontation with Okoye: White Vision is shown being stabbed by a version of Okoye wielding a gold forcefield weapon.
  • Facing a robot army: Vision hovers in front of a fleet of armored drones, possibly a nod to Iron Man-inspired tech.
  • Riri Williams/Ironheart’s debut: Riri dons a White Vision-style armor, complete with a glowing arc reactor, teasing her evolving role in the MCU.

What Lies Ahead for White Vision

White Vision’s story is far from over. Beyond his role in What If…?, Paul Bettany is set to star in a solo series focusing on the character. Tied closely to the narratives of WandaVision and Agatha All Along, this show is expected to explore Vision’s journey further. While initially slated for late 2025, it’s now anticipated for a 2026 release or later.

Rumors suggest JARVIS and FRIDAY may play significant roles in the series, providing continuity with Bettany’s origin as JARVIS in Iron Man (2008). With nearly two decades in the MCU, Bettany continues to solidify his place as one of Marvel Studios’ longest-serving actors.
