    The 98th Academy Awards took place on Sunday, 15 March 2026, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Hosted by Conan O’Brien and produced by Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan, the ceremony honoured the best films of 2025.

    This year’s Oscars featured several milestones. Sinners received a record-breaking 16 nominations, the most in Academy Awards history. One Battle After Another won six awards, including Best Picture. The Academy also introduced a new competitive category, Best Casting, its first since 2001.
