No $160M Divorce: Reports Clarify Birdman and Toni Braxton’s Short-Lived Marriage

Recent online speculation about rapper Birdman being involved in a $160 million divorce after a 16-year marriage has been proven inaccurate. Verified reports confirm that the confusion stems from the real story involving Birdman and R&B singer Toni Braxton, who secretly married in 2024 but faced relationship troubles shortly afterward.

According to reliable sources including TMZ, E! News, and The Star, Birdman (real name Bryan Williams) and Toni Braxton quietly got married on August 8, 2024, following an on-and-off romantic relationship that began around 2016. The two had been close friends for years before becoming a couple.

However, only two weeks after the wedding, Braxton filed for divorce, describing the marriage as “irretrievably broken.” In her legal filing, she listed the date of separation as August 10, 2024, just two days after the ceremony.

Despite this, Braxton later dismissed the divorce petition in January 2025, and Birdman agreed to the withdrawal. As of early 2025, they remain legally married, though their current relationship status has not been publicly updated.

There is no confirmed public record of a $160 million divorce demand or of the couple being married—or even together—for 16 years, as some viral posts suggested. These claims appear to be based on misinformation or confusion with another story.

The official highlight remains: a private wedding, a swift attempt at divorce, and a legal reconciliation, all within a matter of months—adding another chapter to Birdman and Braxton’s long-running and complex relationship.
