Marvel has announced that the Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic series will continue after the first arc ended on January 20, 2025. However, fans will need to wait until Spring 2025 to read the next issue. The announcement confirms Marvel’s commitment to expanding the game’s universe through this comic series, which is part of the Infinity Comics initiative.

A Thrilling Expansion of Marvel Rivals’ Universe

The Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic series brings stories from the popular team-shooter game into comic form. Writer Paul Allor expressed his excitement about continuing the series.

“Working on the Marvel Rivals comic has been such a thrill,” Allor said. “Seeing gamers connect with our story has been truly heartwarming. There’s so much potential for fun and action-packed storytelling in this universe.”

The first arc wrapped up with heroes restoring stability to Tokyo 2099’s timeline and protecting the Web of Life and Destiny. While details about the next story arc are still secret, Allor teased a familiar Marvel Comics setting and a mix of new and returning characters.

Marvel Rivals: A Game-Changing Storyline

The Marvel Rivals video game launched on December 6, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows. Its story centers on a collision between Doctor Doom and his 2099 counterpart, creating four chaotic timelines:

  • Techno-Dystopia of 2099
  • Present Timeline
  • Mosaic Timeline
  • Collapsing Timeline

Players can choose from over 30 Marvel characters in three roles:

  • Vanguards (e.g., Hulk, Thor)
  • Duelists (e.g., Spider-Man, Iron Man)
  • Strategists (e.g., Invisible Woman, Loki)

The game also features a unique “Dynamic Hero Synergy” system for team-based special moves, such as Wolverine and Hulk’s “Fastball Special.”

What’s Next for Marvel Rivals?

Fans of the comic and the game can look forward to more interconnected stories. The game continues to receive regular updates, with recent seasons introducing the Fantastic Four, new maps, and cosmetic items inspired by comic books and the MCU.

The return of the Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic in Spring 2025 ensures that Marvel is committed to growing this universe. All six issues of the first arc are available on Marvel Unlimited, with new issues arriving exclusively on the platform.

Stay tuned for more updates as the series returns to explore the timestream’s chaos and the future of Marvel’s multiverse!
