Netflix has revealed the official title for the upcoming animated series set in the Stranger Things universe. The new series will be called Stranger Things: Tales From ’85.
The creators of the original show, Matt and Ross Duffer, shared their excitement, saying they always dreamed of creating an animated version inspired by the Saturday morning cartoons they loved growing up. Now, that dream is becoming real.
The new series is being produced by the Duffer Brothers’ production company Upside Down Pictures, along with 21 Laps, Flying Bark Productions, and animator Eric Robles. The team says the scripts and artwork are already looking amazing, and fans can expect more news soon.
Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 will dive deeper into the world of Hawkins, offering a fresh, animated take on the hit sci-fi story. It’s part of the growing Stranger Things universe, which also includes a live play, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, now showing on Broadway and in London’s West End.
While fans wait for Season 5 and more details about the animated show, all four seasons of Stranger Things are available to stream now on Netflix.
