Lena Dunham is back with a brand-new television series. Netflix has announced that Dunham’s highly anticipated series, “Too Much”, will debut globally on July 10. Along with the release date, Netflix has revealed a first look at the series, which stars Meg Stalter in the lead role.

The series also features a stellar ensemble cast, including Will Sharpe, Michael Zegan, Janicza Bravo, Richard E. Grant, Rita Wilson, Naomi Watts, Andrew Rannells, Rhea Perlman, Emily Ratajkowski, and Adwoa Aboah.

“Too Much” follows Jessica (Stalter), a workaholic in her mid-thirties from New York, who is struggling with the aftermath of a broken relationship she thought would last forever. As she isolates herself from everyone she knows, she decides to take a job in London to escape the reminders of her past and live a solitary life.

But when she meets Felix (Sharpe), a man full of red flags, their connection is impossible to ignore, despite the problems it creates.

The official synopsis teases a quirky ex-pat rom-com that explores themes of love, disillusionment, and the cultural differences between Americans and Brits. From the creator of “Girls” and the producers of “Love Actually”, “Too Much” promises to deliver a fresh and humorous take on the quest for true love, even when it feels like it might be impossible.

Created by Lena Dunham and Luis Felber, the series is written, directed, and executive produced by Dunham, with an additional group of executive producers including Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Michael P. Cohen, Surian Fletcher-Jones, and Bruce Eric Kaplan.

The series is produced by Working Title Television, Good Thing Going Productions, and Universal International Studios.

Fans of Dunham’s previous work and rom-com lovers alike will have a lot to look forward to when “Too Much” hits Netflix this summer.
