Netflix has confirmed that a release date announcement for Stranger Things Season 5 is on the way.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for updates since Season 4 aired in 2022, marking the longest gap between seasons in the show’s history.
The news came from Netflix France’s official social media account, which stated, “We’ll give you a date soon.”
While no exact date has been revealed, production on the fifth and final season reportedly wrapped in December 2024.

Filming for Season 5 began in January 2024 and wrapped nearly a year later. Based on previous seasons, post-production could take eight to nine months.
This suggests a release window between late summer and fall 2025.
Season 5 is expected to be the biggest yet, with star Finn Wolfhard comparing it to “making eight movies.”
