Netflix unveiled its ambitious international programming slate for 2025, marking the streamer’s first-ever global content presentation event. The announcement showcases series and films from multiple countries and genres.

Key titles include the third season of Japanese hit “Alice in Borderland,” a sequel to Norwegian film “Troll,” and high-budget productions like Brazil’s “Senna” and Italy’s “The Leopard.”

The streaming giant reports significant growth in non-English content viewership. About 13% of US viewing hours were non-English titles, with Korean content reaching over 80% of Netflix’s global audience.

Netflix’s chief content officer Bela Bajaria revealed that over 70% of viewing involves subtitles or dubbing. This trend benefits both audiences and creators by expanding the reach of international storytelling.

The platform serves over 650 million viewers across 190 countries, with two-thirds living outside the US. This global reach shapes Netflix’s content strategy.

New projects include Colombia’s “One Hundred Years of Solitude,” Germany’s “The Empress Season 2,” and several Korean productions like “Mantis” and “Revelations.”

Spanish and Mexican titles join the lineup with “El Refugio Atomico” and “The Gringo Hunters,” further diversifying Netflix’s international offerings.
