Disney’s Moana 2 continues to ride high at the global box office, crossing the $800 million mark.
With a total of $804 million through Monday, the film ranks as the fourth highest-grossing studio movie of the year globally. Out of this total, $440.6 million comes from the international box office.
The sequel has also claimed the fourth spot for both domestic and international releases in 2024, surpassing Despicable Me 4 and Dune: Part Two.
While it remains uncertain whether Moana 2 will hit the $1 billion milestone, it is still performing strongly.
The film’s top international markets include France ($47.9M), the UK ($38.6M), Germany ($29.8M), Mexico ($26.6M), and Brazil ($24.4M).
Meanwhile, Mufasa: The Lion King is also making waves, though not as strongly as expected.
The film has earned $125.6 million globally, including $90.2 million from international markets.
On Monday, Mufasa added another $22 million overseas, bringing its worldwide total to $147 million as it heads into the holiday season.
The top international markets for Mufasa are France ($10.3M), Mexico ($8.5M), China ($8.2M), the UK ($7.2M), and Germany ($6.2M).
