Marvel’s New ‘Deadpool’ Twist Infuriates Fans: What Were They Thinking?

Deadpool Variants

Marvel’s latest reveal has fans up in arms. The company has introduced a new character, Gwenpool, but this version of Gwen Stacy has many fans shaking their heads in anger.

Gwenpool was originally a character in Marvel’s “Secret Wars” event, but she wasn’t exactly Gwen Stacy as Deadpool. Instead, she was Gwendolyn Poole, a young woman from our world who was transported to Marvel’s universe. However, now Marvel has decided to change things.

The new version of Gwenpool is actually a revived Gwen Stacy, and she now looks more like a Deadpool variant. Fans are not happy.

On Twitter, fans have voiced their disappointment. One user said, “There are very few things in superhero comics that can be called works of literature, and the death of Gwen Stacy is one of them. I don’t understand why Marvel keeps changing it.”

Others have echoed the same feelings, calling this decision one of the worst ideas Marvel has had in recent years. Many believe that the change damages the legacy of the character and adds unnecessary confusion to Marvel’s storyline.

With the MCU’s success, many fans hoped for a golden age for Marvel Comics. But decisions like this have left fans feeling disappointed and confused. They’re questioning what’s going on at Marvel and what’s next for their favorite characters.
