Marvel’s Biggest Battle Yet: Godzilla Takes on the Hulk This April

Marvel Comics and Toho Studios have announced a massive crossover featuring two of the strongest green giants in fiction. Godzilla, the King of the Monsters, will face off against the Hulk in a comic series set to launch on April 16, 2025. This epic showdown will bring together fans of kaiju and Marvel superheroes in a story created by writer Gerry Duggan and artist Giuseppe Camuncoli.

Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski shared how this collaboration with Toho Studios came to life. “We started working on reprints with Toho, but both teams were excited to do something bigger. These crossovers celebrate Godzilla’s 70th anniversary and highlight Marvel’s history with the kaiju genre. Fans can expect even more epic stories to come,” said Cebulski.

The first cover art for Godzilla vs. Hulk has been released, giving fans a glimpse of the action. While specific details about the plot are still under wraps, the creative team promises a thrilling and explosive storyline.

Marvel’s President of Comics, Dan Buckley, explained the significance of this crossover. “Godzilla is an important part of Marvel’s comic history. With Godzilla’s growing popularity, this crossover is the perfect way to celebrate both franchises. We hope it’s the start of many more exciting collaborations,” Buckley said.
