Mariah Carey will kick off Netflix’s NFL Christmas Gameday on December 25, performing her iconic hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
The pre-recorded performance will air before the day’s two football games, marking Netflix’s first major move into sports broadcasting.
The games include the Kansas City Chiefs, current Super Bowl champions, facing the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the Baltimore Ravens against the Houston Texans at 4:30 p.m. ET.
Beyoncé will also perform a live halftime show during the Ravens-Texans game, with speculation that Taylor Swift might attend, given her connection to Travis Kelce.
Carey, celebrating the 30th anniversary of her holiday album Merry Christmas, is fresh off her largest Christmas tour.
Her hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has earned a 16-times platinum certification, the highest for a female artist.
The NFL Christmas Gameday on Netflix is part of a three-year deal with the NFL, which will see Netflix air at least one holiday game in 2025 and 2026. The deal cost Netflix around $150 million.
