M.I.A. has criticized Beyoncé’s recent purchase of a $200 million mansion in Malibu, suggesting the singer’s success is tied to a larger “industry machine.”

In a recent social media post, M.I.A. pointed out that the most expensive house in Malibu is owned by Beyoncé, a Black woman, and argued that the singer has become part of a system that profits from people’s ignorance.

“Money and everything and accumulation and everybody’s spirit has been feeding into this machine. And the machine has been paying out, hence you can have someone like Beyoncé have a $200 million house,” M.I.A. said.

The “Paper Planes” singer has been outspoken in her criticism of the entertainment industry and its influence on celebrities. She believes that the system benefits from the public’s lack of awareness.

M.I.A. has also targeted Beyoncé and her husband, JAY-Z, in the past. Last year, she criticized Adele for thanking Beyoncé in her acceptance speeches, claiming that Adele’s career would not exist without the help of Beyoncé’s manager, Jonathan Dickens.

M.I.A. has also accused JAY-Z of suggesting she undergo plastic surgery to boost her career. Despite her criticism, M.I.A. says she is working to expose the truth behind the entertainment industry’s influence.
