The long-delayed film Coyote vs. Acme will finally be released in theaters on August 28, 2026, according to actor Will Forte, who made the announcement during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

The movie, a mix of live-action and animation, features iconic characters from the Looney Tunes universe. Will Forte stars as a lawyer representing Wile E. Coyote, who takes legal action against the Acme Corporation over the repeated failure of its products. John Cena co-stars as a high-ranking Acme executive.

Originally shelved, the film is now set for a theatrical debut after fans and creators rallied for its return. The story blends humor, satire, and classic cartoon antics, giving a modern twist to a beloved animated rivalry.

The announcement has sparked renewed interest among Looney Tunes fans, many of whom are eager to see the franchise return to the big screen with a fresh take that appeals to both nostalgic viewers and new audiences.
