Her aunt claimed in a YouTube video that they dated for six years, starting when she was 15 and he was 27, sparking accusations of underage dating.
Kim Sae-ron’s tragic death in February 2025, ruled a suicide, added to the controversy, with reports linking it to financial struggles, including a debt of 700 million won.
Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, denied the allegations, confirming the relationship began in 2019 when Kim Sae-ron was 19, legally an adult. They also rejected involvement in her financial disputes.
