Viral K Drama S Line

The new Korean thriller drama S Line has taken the internet by storm after its debut on Wavve, drawing attention for its bold concept and unsettling visuals. The first two episodes, released on July 11, introduced a world where hidden sexual connections are revealed through glowing red threads known as “S Lines.”

These red lines, visible only through special glasses, connect individuals who have been intimate with each other. The lines vanish when one of the individuals dies, creating a tense and mysterious atmosphere that challenges societal norms. As secrets are exposed, chaos and suspense unfold.

The story focuses on three main characters: Han Ji-wook, a detective played by Lee Soo-hyuk; Lee Gyu-jin, a mysterious teacher played by Lee Da-hee; and Shin Hyun-heup, a reclusive student portrayed by Arin of Oh My Girl, who has seen the S Lines since birth. The series follows their intertwined lives as they navigate a world where no private connection remains hidden.

One of the most talked-about moments from the premiere was the scene showing Lee Soo-hyuk’s character surrounded by hundreds of red lines. Viewers quickly flooded social media, jokingly comparing him to a “peacock” because of the sheer number of connections floating around his head. Some fans even called him a “sex-addict detective,” turning the scene into a viral sensation.

“He’s turning into a red peacock. I can’t stop laughing,” one fan wrote on X. Others commented, “Why does he have so many lines?” and “He’s definitely a playboy—but a fine one.”

S Line is based on a webtoon by Ggomabi, who is also known for A Killer Paradox. Directed by Ahn Joo-young, the six-episode series presents a haunting commentary on shame, judgment, and human relationships. The drama explores how society reacts when intimate secrets become visible for all to see.

The series had its world premiere at the 8th Cannes International Series Festival, where it competed in the long-form category and won the Best Music Award, marking a milestone for Korean productions in global television.

Episodes 3 and 4 of S Line will be released on July 18, followed by the final episodes on July 25. The drama is exclusively available on Wavve, which requires a paid subscription and does not offer a free trial.
