Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 made a big splash in the gaming world. Now, players are asking: will there be more?

A lead writer at Sandfall Interactive, Jennifer Svedberg-Yen, hinted that new content could be on the way. In a recent Instagram reply, she said:

“Nothing concrete to share yet… But we’ve always said that if players wanted more, we’d love to do something extra. And judging by the response so far, I’d say the chances are good. :)”

That comment has sparked excitement online. While there’s no official confirmation yet, fans are hopeful.

A surprise hit with a loyal following

The game, made by indie French studio Sandfall Interactive, mixes turn-based combat with artistic visuals inspired by French romanticism. It has received strong reviews, with some critics calling it one of the best surprises of the year.

French site Jeuxvideo.com gave it 18 out of 20, praising its emotional depth and beautiful design.

Fans want to see more of this world

Players aren’t just asking for extra levels or new weapons. They want to return to the world of Expedition 33—to see more of the story, the characters, and the world that made such a strong impression.

There’s strong interest in exploring earlier expeditions or revisiting key moments from the game’s emotional story.

    More content seems likely

Sandfall hasn’t made any promises, but the tone from the studio is hopeful. Based on the reaction so far, DLC or expanded content seems likely in the future.

If you haven’t tried Clair Obscur yet, now might be the perfect time. And if you’re already a fan, you may have more adventures to look forward to soon.
