Hulk Hogan’s appearance at Netflix’s Monday Night Raw on January 6 was met with a surprising reception of boos from the crowd.
The 72-year-old WWE legend, known for his iconic entrance to “Real American,” made his way to the ring about two and a half hours into the show, alongside Jimmy Hart.
While Hogan attempted to promote his Real American Beer brand and praise the WWE’s partnership with Netflix, the crowd’s response was overwhelmingly negative.
Hogan, reflecting on his past partnerships in the wrestling world, said, “The greatest partner the WWE has ever had, is the fact that tonight, we’re making history.”
Despite his efforts, the audience was not impressed, with one fan sharing a video of the moment on X, calling it “incredible” to see Hogan get booed while promoting his beer.
The boos come after a turbulent history for Hogan in the WWE, including a 2007 incident where a racial slur was caught on tape, leading to his removal from the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.
Though he was reinstated in 2018, his reputation has continued to suffer, particularly after his outspoken support for former President Donald Trump.
Hogan wasn’t the only WWE legend to appear on the show. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, John Cena, and The Undertaker all received warm applause, with Cena also announcing his 2025 Royal Rumble participation.
