Amazon Prime Video has announced the release date for its new action-comedy film Heads of State. The movie will premiere globally on July 2, 2025. Heads of State stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Idris Elba, and John Cena in lead roles.
The film follows the story of the U.S. President Will Derringer (played by Cena) and the UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke (played by Elba), who must work together to stop a global threat.
The two leaders do not get along, but they have no choice but to cooperate when they become targets of a dangerous foreign enemy.
Joining them is MI6 agent Noel Bisset, played by Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Together, the unlikely trio goes on the run to stop a conspiracy that could destroy the world.
The film is directed by Ilya Naishuller, known for Hardcore Henry and Nobody. It features a strong supporting cast, including Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Sarah Niles, and Richard Coyle.
Heads of State blends fast action with sharp humor and brings back the energy of classic buddy comedies from the 1990s. It will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
