HBO has officially started filming its highly anticipated Harry Potter television series at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the United Kingdom. The production unveiled the first official image of Dominic McLaughlin dressed in full Hogwarts uniform as the young wizard Harry Potter.

McLaughlin, new to the role, is seen wearing Harry’s signature round glasses and lightning-shaped scar. He will star alongside Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.

These three were selected from over 30,000 children who auditioned nationwide, showing the high expectations for this fresh cast to succeed the original actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint.

In addition to the main trio, the cast includes notable actors such as John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, McTe as Minerva McGonagall, and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid. The series will follow Harry’s journey from discovering his magical heritage to his adventures at Hogwarts, highlighting his friendships and struggles against dark forces.

The Harry Potter series is set to premiere on HBO Max in 2027, offering fans a new and faithful retelling of the beloved story with a new generation of actors.
