Grammy Awards

The 2025 Grammy Awards are set to take place this Sunday in Los Angeles, with the biggest stars in pop, rock, country, and hip-hop gathered for music’s most prestigious night.

The event will span eight hours, featuring 94 awards recognizing everything from best pop album to best choral performance.

Beyoncé and Taylor Swift will be among the headline performers, both competing for the coveted Album of the Year award.

This is their first face-off in this category since 2010, where Swift took home the prize. Other notable performances include Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, Shakira, Stevie Wonder, and Raye.

Key Nominees and Predictions

Album of the Year
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter is one of the top contenders, aiming for her first win in this category after several previous losses.

Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department, the best-seller of last year, is another strong contender. Billie Eilish, with her album Hit Me Hard and Soft, is also a favorite, as is Charli XCX’s Brat.

Record of the Year
Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us is the frontrunner, taking on songs like Texas Hold ‘Em by BeyoncĂ© and Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish. If Lamar wins, it would be just the second hip-hop song to win in this category.

Song of the Year
Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga’s Die With A Smile leads the race, with other contenders including Billie Eilish’s Birds of a Feather and Chappell Roan’s Good Luck Babe.

Best New Artist
The competition here is tight between Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter, with both breaking out in 2024.

Grammy Records to Watch

Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter has the most nominations, with a chance to break the record for the most awards in Grammy history. Billie Eilish could make history as the first female artist to win Record of the Year three times.

Meanwhile, André 3000 might break a record with the longest song title in Grammy history if he wins Best Instrumental Composition.

How to Watch

The Grammy ceremony will air live in the UK starting at 01:00 Monday, with pre-show coverage beginning at 23:00 on Sunday.

You can watch the entire event on the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel or stream it internationally on Paramount Plus.

The Impact of Wildfires

This year’s ceremony will also honor California’s first responders with a special tribute, and the event has been reshaped to reflect the region’s recent wildfire losses. All funds from the usual pre- and after-parties will go to fire relief efforts.
