Chris Hemsworth’s Extraction 3 Gets Major Filming Update After 3-Year Wait

There is finally good news for Extraction fans.

After nearly three years of silence, Extraction 3 is set to begin filming in June. Production is expected to run until 9 October.

Chris Hemsworth will return as Tyler Rake. This time, filming will take place in Sydney, Australia. Some scenes are also expected to be shot in Europe later in the summer.

Director Sam Hargrave is coming back for the third film. The Russo Brothers will return as producers, and Joe Russo is expected to write the script.

The sequel was first announced in June 2023. Since then, updates have been limited.

The first two Extraction movies were major hits for Netflix. The streaming service has also expanded the franchise with a spin-off series called Mercenary: An Extraction Series. The show will star Omar Sy and focus on a new mission set in Libya.

Extraction 3 does not yet have a release date.
