Eminem’s ‘Jackass’ Cameo in Happy Gilmore 2 Is a Brutal, Hilarious Tribute

Adam Sandler returns to the fairway in Happy Gilmore 2, which hit Netflix on Friday — and while many beloved characters from the 1996 original are back, new additions like Eminem are grabbing attention for their nostalgic and hilarious tributes.

The rapper plays the son of Joe Flaherty’s infamous “jackass” heckler, a character who tormented Happy during his golf swings in the first film. In Happy Gilmore 2, Eminem takes up his father’s mantle — interrupting Happy’s swing with the same taunt, prompting Gilmore to turn around and flash him in retaliation.

Wearing a bucket hat, a full beard, and a menacing glare, Eminem’s character tells Happy he wishes his father could be there, but he’s now “in the great Sizzler in the sky.”

The encounter doesn’t end well for Eminem’s character, who eventually gets tossed into a lake and brutally mauled by alligators, a nod to the over-the-top humor and chaos of the original movie. Fittingly, his final word is the same insult that made his father a cult favorite: “Jackass!”

The sequel doesn’t shy away from callbacks — from “happy place” dream sequences to bizarre cameos, including Bad Bunny imagining Travis Kelce covered in honey and attacked by a bear.

While critic reviews are still trickling in, early fan reactions suggest Happy Gilmore 2 is delivering exactly what long-time fans hoped for — goofy gags, nostalgic beats, and a chaotic golf course full of surprises.
