Marvel Comics is pushing the boundaries with its latest Daredevil miniseries, Daredevil: Unleash Hell, which promises an R-rated level of violence and gore.

The series, part of Marvel’s “Red Band” collection, debuts with its first issue on January 10, 2025.

In this new chapter, Elektra takes center stage as the Daredevil of Hell’s Kitchen, a role she’s been in since Matt Murdock’s imprisonment during Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto’s run.

Despite Matt’s return, Elektra has remained in the role, and now she faces a gruesome new challenge in this R-rated comic.

The first issue, written by Erica Schultz and illustrated by Valentina Pinti, follows Elektra as she investigates a series of grisly crimes in Hell’s Kitchen.

The crimes appear to be the work of an impossible perpetrator: the resurrected killer known as Muse. As Elektra dives deeper into the case, she’s forced to confront the occult and the limits of her own moral code.

Marvel’s Red Band series, which includes polybagged comics with explicit content, aims to deliver darker, more mature stories.

This issue promises a blend of occult horror and brutal action as Elektra takes on demonic forces while grappling with the promise she made to Matt not to kill.

Fans of Daredevil and Elektra can expect intense violence and a gripping storyline that explores the darker corners of the Marvel Universe.
