Disclaimer, the highly anticipated psychological thriller series, is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on October 11, 2024.
The seven-episode limited series stars acclaimed actress Cate Blanchett as Catherine Ravenscroft, a celebrated television journalist whose career has been built on exposing the transgressions of long-respected institutions.
The series takes a dark turn when Catherine receives a novel from an unknown author that casts her as the central character, revealing her deepest secrets. As she races to uncover the anonymous writer’s identity, Catherine must confront her past to prevent it from shattering her life and jeopardizing her relationships with her husband Robert (Sacha Baron Cohen) and their son Nicholas (Kodi Smit-McPhee).
Joining Blanchett in the stellar cast are Academy Award winner Kevin Kline, Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George, and Hoyeon. The series is written and directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón, known for his Oscar-winning works like Gravity and Roma.
Disclaimer is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Renée Knight, who also serves as an executive producer on the project. The series is a collaboration between Esperanto Filmoj and Anonymous Content, with Cuarón, Gabriela Rodriguez, David Levine, Steve Golin, and Knight as executive producers.
The first two episodes of Disclaimer will premiere on October 11, 2024, with the remaining five episodes airing weekly on Fridays until the November 15 finale.
