Deadpool 3 Brings Back 5 Classic X-Men Villains

Deadpool 3 X-mens

The latest trailer for Marvel’s Deadpool 3, officially titled Deadpool & Wolverine, confirms the return of several iconic X-Men villains from past 20th Century Fox movies.

As Deadpool makes his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside Wolverine, he’ll be facing off against a fearsome group of adversaries with ties to the X-Men’s history on the big screen.

Classic X-Men Villains Returns to MCU

The villains making their comeback in Deadpool & Wolverine were unveiled in an epic shot from the new trailer. Gathered around the massive corpse of what appears to be an Ant-Man variant, the quintet of X-Men rogues features:

  • Pyro (Aaron Stanford) – A mutant with the ability to control and project fire, who previously battled the X-Men in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand.
  • Azazel (Jason Flemyng) – A demonic mutant with teleportation powers, enhanced abilities, and a regenerative healing factor, first seen in X-Men: First Class.
  • Lady Deathstrike (Kelly Hu) – A formidable martial artist and Wolverine’s equal with adamantium claws and a healing factor of her own from X2.
  • Toad (Ray Park) – The agile leaper with an extendable tongue, who fought the X-Men in the 2000 original film. Park celebrated his return on social media.
  • Callisto (Dania Ramirez) – A tracker who can sense other mutants’ powers, reprising her role as Magneto’s ally from X-Men: The Last Stand.

Multiversal Mayhem Awaits

Their presence sets the stage for a multiversal clash as these adversaries from past X-Men franchises cross over into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. How and why they’ve been assembled remains to be seen, but their gathering hints at an explosive confrontation when Deadpool and Wolverine encounter this murderers’ row of mutant villains.

The anticipation continues to build for this groundbreaking installment, which will be Marvel Studios’ first foray into the realm of the X-Men and mutants on film. Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, storms into theaters on July 26th.
