Daredevil: Born Again

Marvel has released the first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again, offering a glimpse of a darker, more violent chapter in the MCU. The series will debut on Disney+ on March 5 and feature nine episodes.

Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer who moonlights as Daredevil. The show brings back familiar faces, including Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk (Kingpin), Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, and Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson as Murdock’s friends and law partners.

What to Expect

The show’s synopsis teases a tense showdown between Murdock and Fisk. Murdock continues his fight for justice through his law firm, while Fisk pursues political ambitions. Their pasts threaten to resurface, setting the stage for an inevitable clash.

The trailer highlights intense fight scenes, with brutal punches, kicks, and even a broken knee. This tone recalls the Netflix Daredevil series, which was known for its gritty and realistic action.

A Shift for Marvel

Marvel has faced criticism for playing it safe in recent projects. The success of R-rated content like Deadpool & Wolverine has shown there’s an appetite for more mature storytelling.

Daredevil: Born Again appears to embrace this, potentially marking a shift in Marvel’s approach to TV and film.

Creative Team

Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson serve as lead directors, with Dario Scardapane as showrunner.

Fans hope this team can deliver a series that lives up to the Netflix original while carving out a new space for the character in the MCU.

Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney+ on March 5.
