Many websites claim to offer free GTA 5 Online APK downloads for Android, but these are fake.
Despite the game’s massive popularity, Rockstar Games has never released an official Android version of Grand Theft Auto 5 or its online multiplayer mode.
GTA 5 Online is currently only available on the following platforms:
- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series X|S
- PC
- Steam Deck
You must pay to access GTA 5, which usually costs around $30, although discounts may occasionally lower the price. The only time GTA 5 was given away for free was in May 2020 through the Epic Games Store — and only for PC.
What About GTA Online on Android?
There is no native Android version of GTA 5 or GTA 5 Online. The only legitimate way to play GTA 5 on a mobile device is by streaming it from a PC or console using apps like:

- PS Remote Play
- Xbox Remote Play
Even then, the game runs on your console or PC, not on the mobile device itself — the apps just mirror the screen.
