The official trailer for Newtopia, a South Korean romantic comedy/zombie horror series, has just dropped, and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is at the center of it all.

The show, set during the early stages of a zombie outbreak in Seoul, features Jisoo as Young-joo, a woman who must face not only the undead but also her complicated relationship with soldier Jae-yoon, played by Park Jeong-min.

In a twist of fate, Young-joo and Jae-yoon break up just before the zombie apocalypse hits, but she quickly regrets the decision and sets out to reunite with him.

Her mission to win back her ex-boyfriend takes a dangerous turn as she has to navigate a city overrun by zombies.

The trailer showcases a mix of action, humor, and romance, with Young-joo braving the zombie-filled chaos to find Jae-yoon, who is equally determined to track down his reckless ex-girlfriend.

The series promises to deliver both heart-pounding moments and comedic relief as the characters fight for love and survival.

Newtopia will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting February 7, 2025.
